I would like to introduce myself and my services to you. My name is Nicole DeBien, owner of DeBien Dermatology Billing & Coding [DD Billing]. I've been in my profession since 2005, working with several different specialties, in different corners of the nation. I'm a member of the AAPC, and hold two certifications with them: Certified Professional Biller and Certified Professional Coder of Dermatology.

Prior to moving to Tennessee and starting my billing service, I started out in sunny Naples, Florida. So much of my knowledge comes from working with different people in various settings. From managing the billing of a small private practice with an ASC, to being a member of a small team in a small practice, and part of a billing department of a couple large practices. I've been the sole biller for small practices through independent contracting since 2014. While I worked with different specialties, I developed a passion for dermatology. Not only do I have an immense understanding of the billing and coding practice, the same can be said for the dermatological procedures themselves.

I was fortunate to work for a local dermatology practice that invested in my education and supported my growth in this industry. Years have been filled with learning different aspects of the revenue cycle of a medical office. From working insurance verifications to all aspects of RCM: charge entry, claims scrubbing and submission, payment posting, patient accounting, and working outstanding claims in accounts receivables.

 

By staying up to date on CMS and other payer policies, and with my detailed background in medical billing and dermatology coding, I'm able to ensure my providers receive their fullest potential reimbursement, in a timely manner.
